Profile

Multiple years of management experience (among others in China, Africa, and Europe) formed the ability to work in growth set-ups needing ambiguity tolerance, endurance, and perseverance. My motivation stems from the combination of setting achievable targets and succeeding with more than satisfactory results. In teamwork and management, negotiating objectives and assuming responsibility is a better guarantee for accomplishment than monitoring work schedules. Showing example builds loyalty relationships.

The Finance role supplies a foundation for strategy development and target implementation. Speed and decision power are key success factors - transparency and measurability of targets are their sparring partner. Both, past professional experience (starting in a multinational's investor relations, reaching CFO positions in multiple international entrepreneurial projects) and studies at the Coblence School of Corporate Management show my strong roots in people and data-driven management. This includes the command of tools such as KPI system building, multiple local GAAPs and IFRS, cash management, budgeting & forecasting, reporting, funding (incl. private & public offerings, convertibles & other mezzanines, structured finance, and innovative fundings), modern IT supporting process efficiency. 

Highlights of past experience:

- building a 10MWp portfolio of solar assets in Subsahara Africa;

- business turn-around and successful closing of an M&A process in diagnostics; 

- negotiation and (post) merger integration of a multinational M&A case in Software;
- build-up of a Sino-German joint venture OEM-production plant for automotive electronics in Shanghai and qualification for ISO 9000;
